Economic responsibility
The impacts of Ixonos' business operations on surrounding society can be measured by the cash flow between the company and its stakeholders. The most significant immediate economic impacts are related to the customers, personnel and shareholders.
Expanding customer relations
Ixonos provides services to leading international mobile and smartphone manufacturers, mobile network suppliers and telecom carriers, as well as Finnish finance and public administration companies and organisations.
In 2006 the company strengthened its strategic partnerships. The company's high customer satisfaction got even better. The majority (64%) of the customers indicated that they were ready to extend the services they receive from Ixonos.
In 2006 the income from the customers was EUR 39.2 million (2005: 27.4). Approximately 12 percent (2005: 10%) of the income from customers is paid to suppliers of goods and services. In 2006 purchases from suppliers amounted to EUR 4.6 million (2005: 2.8).
Investments in the personnel increased
in 2006 the total amount of wages, compensations and indirect employer's expenses was EUR 24.8 million (2005: 18.3). Of this sum, performance based compensation accounted for EUR 0.622 million (2005: 0.428).
The company supported its personnel's leisure time exercise, sports and culture activities through the Staff Association with EUR 70,000. In addition, the expenses of the holiday cottages that the personnel can hire were EUR 80,000.
Added value to shareholders
Ixonos paid to its shareholders dividend EUR 2.0 million for the year 2006 (2005: 1.3), or EUR 0.27 per share (2005: EUR 0.18). During the year 2006, the value of the company's share increased 23.1 percent on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Support to children and the youth
In 2006 Ixonos paid EUR 1.0 million in taxes (2005: 0.5). In addition, the company's employees paid income tax to the state government and the local governments. The company gave support to the Mannerheim League of Child Welfare, Save the Children, the Lions Club and the Finnish War veterans. Ixonos annually supports organisations that work either domestically or internationally to relieve the suffering and distress of children and young people and to promote their well-being and education opportunities.
