Ixonos, a world leader in creating wireless technologies, mobile devices, services and software, with a special focus on providing inspiring user experiences, has established a branch office in Seoul, South Korea. The purpose of the new office is to serve as a customer interface, sales office and technical support for the company’s client operations in the region, both with existing and new customers.
“Establishing a new sales interface is aligned with Ixonos’ strategic efforts to expand our business globally and supports our heightened sales efforts towards internationally operating companies within the connected devices domain,” says Ixonos Group’s President and CEO Kari Happonen.
The office in Korea is part of Ixonos’ APAC area operations, headed by Vice President Tomi Kyllönen from Beijing. Ixonos has two service centres in China and the company recently expanded its Device Creation Centre’s operations to work alongside the site in Beijing.
“We see a lot of promising potential in the APAC region. This is a significant growth market for smart devices and many leading device manufactures focus their R&D activities to the region”, says Kyllönen. “While the office in Korea serves a strong sales role, it is our Beijing service centre where the turnkey projects combining both our device creation and user experience design services will be carried out”, he explains.
